Witty dog Ike LaRue writes
postcards to his neighbor explaining why the neighbor’s cats are ruining Ike’s
vacation with his owner. This book, as well
as previous books in the series, are great examples of writing from creative perspectives. They also
contain many high-level vocabulary words and can be read with classes to model using context clues when determining the meaning of words.
