Penny is a small mouse with a big imagination and a healthy appetite for exploring her small neighborhood. These beginning chapter books use short sentences and simple language that students will feel confident reading. Penny faces a moral dilemma in which she has to find her own solution and the books end with a happy conclusion. Each book has 4 short chapters which include bright, colorful illustrations that break up the text. This series is a wonderful transition for students into early chapter books.
