This nonfiction picture book tells the story of an ochre sea star in her home in the ocean. Children will experience the challenges that starfish face in the ocean and how they are built to survive in this environment. Additional facts about starfish, as well as websites to obtain more information are included at the end of the story. This would be a welcome addition to ocean themed units or could be used as a read-a-loud before research projects on sea creatures.
