Detective Duck is on the case as he interviews 13 potential perpetrators in order to find out who stole a cake from the cake contest. Suspects are eliminated as different clues emerge and the detective is able to narrow down the case using deductive reasoning. The author includes educational extension activities at the end of the book, as well as a website for additional resources to use in the classroom. Use this book for lessons in logic or to teach students the art of deductive reasoning. This would also be a great introduction to the mystery genre as it includes all of the great elements of a detective story.
